With over a decade of experience in both football and business, Stephen has worked in various roles within these industries. He has successfully managed the disciplinary control unit department and conducted weekly hearings for the FAI, dealing with cases related to betting and anti-doping. Additionally, he has gained immense knowledge in contract negotiations, recruitment, and talent scouting through his role as the “Head of Player Management” at PFA Ireland.
As a FIFA Licenced Agent, registered FAI Intermediary, FAI coach, and FAI referee, Stephen possesses the necessary qualifications for his roles. Furthermore, he has a strong football background having played schoolboy football with Portmarnock FC and is an avid supporter of Leeds United.
Having completed his apprenticeship with HJ Ward LLP Solicitors, Stuart became a qualified solicitor in 1995. His achievements in the legal profession include being voted Solicitor of the Year at the Irish Law Awards in 2018, serving as President of the Law Society in 2016/17, and, before that, serving as President of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association in 2010/11.
Specializing in sports law, Stuart received the Irish Law Sports Lawyer of the Year award in 2021 and has been a finalist for the award for 2022. Additionally, he is registered as a lawyer with the English Football Association and has worked closely with the PFA Ireland, handling several high-profile cases on behalf of its members.

Erin currently plays for Peamount United FC as a versatile midfielder. At 19yrs old, she was named in the Irish senior team squad for their friendly game against Morocco, last November in Spain. Erin is a regular in the home-base squad and has also represented Ireland at underage level.

Solicitor
Stuart qualified as a solicitor in 1995 having completed his apprenticeship with HJ Ward LLP Solicitors. He was voted Solicitor of the Year in 2018 at the Irish Law Awards and was President of the Law Society in 2016/17 and President of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association in 2010/11.
Stuart practices in the area of sports law and was awarded the Irish Law Sports Lawyer of the Year, 2021. He has also been shortlisted for the award for 2022.
Stuart is a registered lawyer with the English Football Association and has worked closely with the PFA Ireland over the last 15 years having taken on several high-profile cases on behalf of the members. Stuart will handle all your legal needs at Reliance Sports to make sure you have peace of mind across all contract’s offerings.

Stephen has over 10 years’ experience across both the football and business industries. He has worked with the FAI in the disciplinary control unit department, administrating weekly disciplinary hearings on such cases as betting and anti-doping, as well as in the Referees Department.
